Second Stage Round 1: Prinemanye - Impuls BGUIR 72-74

The most exciting game of round 1 in the Premier League took place in Grodno. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of Prinemanye (2-10) to Impuls BGUIR (6-6) 74-72 on Sunday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Prinemanye won third quarter 15-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Impuls BGUIR made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Prinemanye turnovers and outrebounded them 45-34 including 37 on the defensive glass. Forward Yaraslau Kurapau (200-91) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Guard Kiril Volodkin (190-91, agency: Mike Diesel) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Andrey Filippovich (185-95) produced 22 points and forward Valeriy Gaponik (192-97) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Prinemanye's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
