An exciting game was played in Grodno. Grodno-93 faced Rubon. Host Grodno-93 (11-1) smashed guests from Vitebsk (7-6) 86-66. The game without a history. Grodno-93 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Grodno-93 forced 23 Rubon turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Rubon's players. International guard Kiril Sitnik (190-89, agency: Mike Diesel) scored 24 points and 4 steals (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Kanstantin Yafremov (202-86, agency: Promotex) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Grodno-93 players scored in double figures. Grodno-93's coach Andrei Vasileuka used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Victor Ilyukevich (203-94) responded with 9 points and 18 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Yahor Patupchik (191-94) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Grodno-93 will again meet at home Rubon (#5) in the next round. Rubon will have a break next round.
