Regular Season Round 16: Flamengo - Bauru 77-84

The game between Top Four teams took place in Rio de Janeiro. 4th ranked host Flamengo (10-5) lost to second ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (14-2) 84-77. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Flamengo won third quarter 22-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Paschoalotto/Bauru made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Alex Ribeiro (191-80, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Jefferson Andrade (207-83) who added 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international Marquinhos Vieira (207-84) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and American center Jerome Meyinsse (206-88, college: Virginia) scored 14 points. Five Paschoalotto/Bauru and four Flamengo players scored in double figures. Paschoalotto/Bauru have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 14-2 record behind leader Limeira. Defending champion Flamengo keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Paschoalotto/Bauru are looking forward to face SKY/Basquete (#14) in Aldeota in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Flamengo will play at home against Liga Sorocaba (#16) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
