Very important is a home loss of third ranked Perth Wildcats (12-8) against fifth ranked Adelaide 36ers (10-11) on Friday night. Host Perth Wildcats were defeated by Adelaide 36ers in a tough game in Perth 102-106. Perth Wildcats were ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 26-21 charge of Adelaide 36ers, which allowed them to win the game. They made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for the former international Brock Motum (207-90, college: Washington St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 13 rebounds. American point guard Jamar Wilson (185-84, college: Albany) helped adding 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). The best for the losing side was the former international forward Shawn Redhage (203-81, college: Arizona St., agency: Warren Sports International) with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward DeAndre Daniels (206-92, college: Connecticut) scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Adelaide 36ers have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 10-11 record. Perth Wildcats lost third consecutive game. Defending champion keep the third position with eight games lost. Adelaide 36ers will play against Kings (#6) in Sydney in the next round. Perth Wildcats will play on the road against the league's second-placed Cairns Taipans and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
