Regular Season Round 8: Homenetm. B - Moutahed 67-76

There was a small surprise in Beirut where seventh ranked Al Moutahed (4-5) defeated one of their biggest challengers Homenetm. B (4-5) 76-67 on Friday. Homenetm. B trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 17 after three quarters before a 25-17 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 67-76 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Dewarick Spencer (193-82, college: Arkansas St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 9 rebounds and American-Guinea-Bissau point guard Perry Petty (185-88, college: UTPA) who added 10 points, 7 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Petty is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Al Moutahed players scored in double figures. Canadian center Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklah.Baptist) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 19 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and American Rashad McCants (193-84, college: N.Carolina, agency: Haylett Sports) scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Al Moutahed moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Tadamon and Homenetm. B. Al Moutahed will face higher ranked UBA (#3) in Byblos in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Homenetm. B's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Beirut to the arena Sagesse.
