The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Roche (11-3) in La Roche on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by eleventh ranked Le Havre (6-8) 75-67. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-11. But Roche won third quarter 19-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Fabienne Constant (186-86) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Melissa Micaletto (165-90) contributed with 21 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Naturalized Senegalese forward Mariame Dia (185-78) replied with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Senegalese center Aminata Nar Diop (196-83, college: Georgetown, agency: Comsport) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Roche. Five Roche players scored in double figures. Le Havre moved-up to tenth place. Roche at the other side dropped to the second position with three games lost. They share it with Dunkerque. Le Havre will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Roche will play on the road against Aulnoye and is hoping to win this game.
