Regular Season Round 32: Huracanes - Titanicos 85-80
Date: January 17, 2015
No shocking result in a game in Tampico where fifth ranked Huracanes (16-15) defeated 9th ranked Titanicos (13-18) 85-80. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Titanicos won third quarter 24-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by American swingman Ollie Bailey (201-85, college: Oklahoma City) who scored that evening 34 points (!!!) and Nigerian-American power forward Suleiman Braimoh (203-89, college: Rice) supported him with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 17 points and 21 rebounds by American forward Jumaine Jones (202-79, college: Georgia, agency: SDJ Sports) did not help to save the game for Titanicos. Senegalese center Babacar Camara (211-81, college: CS Fullerton) added 22 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Huracanes maintains fifth position with 16-15 record. Newly promoted Titanicos keep the ninth place with 18 games lost. Huracanes' next round opponent will be Fuerza Regia (#6) in Monterrey. Titanicos will play at home against Barreteros and hope to win that game.
