Regular Season Round 8: UBA - Tadamon 79-72

Everything could happen in Byblos at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked UBA and 6th ranked Tadamon had identical 4-4 record. This time UBA used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from 79-72 on Saturday night. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Mazen Mneimneh (192-86) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Jasmon Youngblood (195-84, college: Kent St.) who added 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and naturalized American swingman Tarek Ammoury (196-90, college: Marymount) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tadamon's coach Marwan Khalil rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. UBA maintains third position with 5-4 record having just one point less than leader Al Riyadi. Loser Tadamon dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. UBA will face Al Moutahed (#7) in Tripoli in the next round. Tadamon will play at home against Hoops Club and hope to win that game.
