An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kildare. Second ranked Liffey Celtics faced 3rd placed DCU Mercy. Host Liffey Celtics (7-2) defeated guests from Dublin (5-3) 61-56. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of DCU Mercy. Liffey Celtics had a 31-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The former international forward Suzanne Maguire (183-75) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. DCU Mercy's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Liffey Celtics maintains second place with 7-2 record behind leader TM Hotel Cork. DCU Mercy at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Liffey Celtics will play against Brunell (#3) in Cork in the next round, which may be the game of the day. DCU Mercy will play at home against UL Huskies and hopes to get back on the winning track.
