There was no surprise when 9th ranked Fuenlabrada (8-8) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Caceres Basket (12-4) 72-58 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-58. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian forward Rolandas Jakstas (202-92) who scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Senegalese center Mansour Kasse (208-92) chipped in 7 points and 14 rebounds. Mali Boubacar Moungoro (196-94, college: High School) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and British-Swedish center Nicholas Spires (210-94) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Fuenlabrada's coach rotated eleven players saving starting five for next games. Caceres Basket moved-up to second place, which they share with Lucentum. Loser Fuenlabrada keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. Caceres Basket will face bottom-ranked Araberri (#15) in Vitoria-Gasteiz in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Fuenlabrada will play at home against the league's leader Castello (#1) and hope to win that game.
