Regular Season Round 27: Iskra Svit - Levice 101-66

Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Iskra Svit (12-15) smashed at home 7th ranked Levice (9-17) 101-66. The game without a history. Iskra Svit led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Iskra Svit forced 21 Levice turnovers and outrebounded them 43-24 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Lakeem Jackson (196-90, college: S.Carolina, agency: Octagon Europe) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Croatian guard Sven Smajlagic (190-90) accounted for 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. American swingman Malik Story (196-90, college: Nevada, agency: Two Points) came up with 19 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian power forward Nemanja Miljkovic (204-90) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks (perfect from the field making all six shots) respectively for Levice in the defeat. Five Iskra Svit and four Levice players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Iskra Svit maintains fifth place with 12-15 record. Levice lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with 17 games lost. Iskra Svit will play against league's leader Inter Bratislava at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Levice will play against the league's second-placed Prievidza (#2) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
