Regular Season Round 17: Avignon-Sorgues - GET Vosges 61-67

No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked GET Vosges (8-7) beat on the road 12th ranked Sorgues BC (5-10) 67-61 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 67-61. Center Jeremie Douillet (205-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 11 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Raphael Wilson (195-89) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American-British power forward Tafari Toney (202-86) answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and Lithuanian forward Zygimantas Jonusas (201-82) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Sorgues BC. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. GET Vosges moved-up to eighth place, which they share with La Rochelle and Challans. Sorgues BC lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with ten games lost. GET Vosges will face league's leader Saint Chamond on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sorgues BC will play against Quimper UJAP (#15) and hope to win that game.
