Regular Season Round 18: Wisla Krakow - Ksiezak Lowicz 48-73

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Ksiezak Lowicz's (10-5) road victory over 5th ranked Wisla Krakow (7-7) 73-48 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-48. Ksiezak Lowicz dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Wisla Krakow's 28. Ksiezak Lowicz forced 25 Wisla Krakow turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Wisla Krakow's players. Power forward Jakub Dryjanski (202-82) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Bartosz Wluczynski (176-88) chipped in 12 points, 10 assists and 6 steals during the contest. Wisla Krakow's coach Lukasz Kasperzec gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Ksiezak Lowicz moved-up to third place, which they share with AZS PGd. Loser Wisla Krakow keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Ksiezak Lowicz will face LKS Lodz (#9) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Wisla Krakow will play against AZS UMCS (#3) in Lublin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
