AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (10-5) outlasted CCC Polkowice (10-5) in overtime by two points 81-79 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of CCC Polkowice. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-17. But CCC Polkowice won second period 19-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where CCC Polkowice used huge pressure winning it 11-8 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 12-14. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for point guard Sharnee Zoll-Norman (170-86, college: Virginia) who led her team to a victory scoring 27 points and 7 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Power forward Alyssia Brewer (190-90, college: UCLA) helped adding 22 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Aishah Sutherland (187-90, college: Kansas, agency: Two Points) with 23 points and 4 assists and point guard Ketia Swanier (170-86, college: Connecticut) scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four CCC Polkowice players scored in double figures. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated CCC Polkowice. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski will face Gdynia (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CCC Polkowice will play against Konin (#12) and hope to win that game.
