The game was mostly controlled by Gernika. Zamarat managed to win fourth quarter 13-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American Bernice Mosby (186-84, college: Baylor, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds. Romanian forward Claudia Pop (182-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) helped adding 15 points. Gernika's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Portuguese center Sofia Silva (187-90) with 17 points and 8 rebounds and guard Maria Ylenia Manzanares (175-83, agency: Regeneracom Sports) scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for Gernika. They moved-up to fifth place. Zamarat lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Rivas Ecopolis and Ferrol. Gernika will meet at home Rivas Ecopolis (#7) in the next round. Zamarat will play against Conquero in Huelva and hope to secure a win.
