Regular Season Round 18: Trefl II Sopot - Tczew 71-64

Very expected game when 9th ranked Tczew (3-12) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Trefl II Sopot (8-6) 71-64 on Sunday. Tczew trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 18-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 64-71 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Tczew 41-29 including a 20-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Grzegorz Kulka (203-96) had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Artur Wlodarczyk (182-96) chipped in 20 points during the contest. Five Trefl II Sopot players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Daniel Syldatk (190-84) with 28 points and 5 rebounds and Szymon Dlugosz (203-92) scored 7 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trefl II Sopot maintains fifth position with 8-6 record. Tczew lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with 12 games lost. Trefl II Sopot will face Kotwica (#7) in Kolobrzeg in the next round. Tczew will play at home against SMS PZKosz and hope to win that game.
