Very expected game in Hitachinaka where 9th ranked Hitachi Cougars (2-14) were rolled over by fourth ranked JX-Eneos S. (12-2) 84-47 on Sunday. The game without a history. JX-Eneos S. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Hitachi Cougars' 22. JX-Eneos S. forced 22 Hitachi Cougars turnovers and outrebounded them 47-22 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Yunika Nakamura (177-95) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. The former international Chie Kibayashi (184-89) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Aiko Ishihara (178-92) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Ai Tominaga (162-91) added 9 points respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JX-Eneos S. have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 12-2 record. Hitachi Cougars lost seventh consecutive game.
