Regular Season Round 13: Terpsithea - Ippokratis 74-81

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Glyfadas where 6th ranked Terpsithea (5-9) was defeated by seventh ranked Ippokratis (5-9) 81-74. The guests were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 34-30 Terpsithea's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 81-74 at the end of the game. American center Talia Caldwell (188-91, college: California) nailed 26 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and center Iro Koufogianni (188-87) accounted for 7 points and 20 rebounds. Ippokratis' coach Michalis Kaplanidis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Alexandra Williams (183, college: St.Francis, PA) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 18 rebounds and guard Peppi Valeta (177-77) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Terpsithea in the defeat. Ippokratis moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Terpsithea. Ippokratis' next round opponent will be Olympiakos (#9) in Athens.
