The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (24-4) in Mikawa on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Shiga L-Stars (18-8) 89-84. Nigerian-Canadian Olu Ashaolu (200-88, college: Oregon) replied with 32 points and American forward Mo Charlo (203-83, college: Nevada) added 22 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Hamamatsu Phoenix. Hamamatsu Phoenix's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Shiga L-Stars maintains fourth position with 18-8 record. Hamamatsu Phoenix at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost. They share the position with Okinawa GK. Shiga L-Stars are looking forward to face league's second-placed Okinawa GK at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week.
