The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked MH Basket (16-6) in Monte Hermoso on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Estudiantes O. (12-10) 76-66. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Estudiantes O.. MH Basket managed to win second period 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Estudiantes O. dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to MH Basket's 26. It was a great evening for forward Rodrigo Sanchez (200-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward John A. Thomas (198-82, college: Columbus St.) helped adding 17 points and 6 rebounds. Estudiantes O.'s coach Jose Luis Pisani used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Four MH Basket players scored in double figures. Estudiantes O. moved-up to second place, which they share with San Isidro. MH Basket at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost.
