Regular Season Round 15: Lattes Montp. - Arras 77-60

An interesting game for Lattes Montpellier (12-3) which hosted in Lattes 4th placed Arras (10-5). Third ranked Lattes Montpellier had an easy win 77-60. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-60. Lattes Montpellier outrebounded Arras 43-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for international forward Valerianne Ayayi (185-94, agency: Comsport) who led her team to a victory with 21 points and 9 rebounds. American center Mistie Bass (191-83, college: Duke) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Lattes Montpellier's coach Valery Demory used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mali center Djene Diawara (192-85, agency: Comsport) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks and American guard Maggie Lucas (178-91, college: Penn St.) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Arras. Lattes Montpellier have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Villeneuve. Arras at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Landes. Lattes Montpellier is looking forward to face Basket Landes (#4) in Mont de Marsan in the next round. Arras will play on the road against Lyon and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
