Second Stage Round 3: Prinemanye - Rubon II 84-72

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Rubon II's (2-10) road loss to Prinemanye (4-10) in Grodno 72-84 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back winning next two quarters and won the game by 12 points. Prinemanye forced 29 Rubon II turnovers. Strangely Rubon II outrebounded Prinemanye 44-29 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a good game for point guard Oleg Makarov (183-96) who led his team to a victory with 18 points, 6 assists and 6 steals. Guard Yauheni Drobau (183-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Prinemanye's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Artsiom Tarasau (185-94) answered with 28 points and 4 assists and forward Egor Gil (195-96) added 15 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Rubon II. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Prinemanye will face BGEU-RCOR in Osipovichi in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rubon II will play at home against Impuls BGUIR and hope to win that game.
