The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Denso Iris as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Denso Iris edged 5th ranked Chanson V-M in Kariya 49-46. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was guard Yasuko Itou (160-90) who scored 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Center Sugiyama Miyuki (196-94) produced 18 points and 8 rebounds and guard Minaho Miyoshi (167-93) added 11 points respectively for the guests. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Toyota A. Chanson V-M at the other side keeps the fifth place with five games lost. Chanson V-M will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Denso Iris will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Fujitsu RW in Kawasaki.
