Not a big story in a game in Aldeota where 14th ranked SKY/Basquete (3-12) was defeated by seventh ranked Vivo/Franca (10-6) 91-78 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-78. Vivo/Franca dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to SKY/Basquete's 24. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Lucas Mariano (208-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds and international Leonardo Meindl (201-93) who added 24 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international point guard David Rossetto (180-93) responded with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Rashaun McLemore (193-86, college: CS Northridge) scored 21 points. SKY/Basquete's coach let to play twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Vivo/Franca moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Mogi das Cruzes. Loser SKY/Basquete keeps the fourteenth position with 12 games lost. Vivo/Franca will face Brasilia (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SKY/Basquete will play against the league's second-placed Paschoalotto/Bauru and hope to win that game.
