Regular Season Round 16: Hangtuah - NSH GMC 70-58

No shocking result in a game in Pandang where sixth ranked Hangtuah (5-5) defeated 10th ranked NSH GMC (2-8) 70-58 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Hangtuah. NSH GMC managed to win second period 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hangtuah dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to NSH GMC's 26. They outrebounded NSH GMC 52-31 including a 37-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hangtuah looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Mei Joni (188-89) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 7 rebounds and guard Suhandy (186-91) who added 11 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Raylly Pratama Putra (195-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and forward Juliano Sucipto (188-82) scored 11 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hangtuah maintains sixth position with 5-5 record. Loser NSH GMC dropped to the eleventh place with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
