Regular Season Round 28: Iskra Svit - Inter Bratislava 77-107

Leader Inter Bratislava delivered the twenty third win on Wednesday night. This time they crushed 5th ranked Iskra Svit (12-16) 107-77. The game was mostly controlled by Inter Bratislava. Iskra Svit managed to win third quarter 25-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Inter Bratislava dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Iskra Svit's 38. They outrebounded Iskra Svit 41-21 including a 32-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Inter Bratislava looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Iskra Svit helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Croatian guard Petar Babic (190-85) fired 26 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) for the winners. American guard Justin Graham (193-88, college: San Jose St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Four Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Croatian guard Sven Smajlagic (190-90) produced 27 points and American guard Lakeem Jackson (196-90, college: S.Carolina, agency: Octagon Europe) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Iskra Svit's coach Rudolf Jugo gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Inter Bratislava have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 23-5 record, which they share with Prievidza. Iskra Svit at the other side keeps the fifth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Karlovka. Inter Bratislava is looking forward to face league's second-placed Prievidza at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Iskra Svit will play against Karlovka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
