Very predictable result when eighth ranked Omegna (9-9) rolled over at home bottom-ranked Piacentina (5-13) 90-67 on Wednesday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Omegna made 25-of-26 free shots (96.2 percent) during the game. Piacentina was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American guard Devon Saddler (183-91, college: Delaware) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 5 steals. Point guard Riccardo Tavernelli (189-91) contributed with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Naturalized Slovenian guard Sani Becirovic (195-81) replied with 17 points and Lithuanian swingman Paulius Sorokas (200-92) added 14 points in the effort for Piacentina.
