The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Liaoning Hunters (29-4) in Hangzhou on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (23-10) 120-113. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Liaoning Hunters. Liaoning Hunters trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 36-30 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 113-120 at the end of the game. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions outrebounded Liaoning Hunters 46-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. 30 personal fouls committed by Liaoning Hunters helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward Elijah Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners and Taiwanese guard Zhijie Lin (192-82) chipped in 31 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Priority Sports) with 32 points and 5 assists and the former international Ailun Guo (192-93) scored 20 points and 8 assists. Five Zhejiang Guangsha Lions and four Liaoning Hunters players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions moved-up to fifth place. Liaoning Hunters at the other side still keep top position with four games lost. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions are looking forward to face TianJin Steel (#13) in Tianjin in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
