Very predictable result in Lodz where fourth ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (11-6) beat 10th ranked Widzew (3-14) 69-59. The game without a history. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski outrebounded Widzew 45-31 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American power forward Alyssia Brewer (190-90, college: UCLA) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import point guard Sharnee Zoll-Norman (170-86, college: Virginia) supported her with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Four AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds by Ukrainian guard Arina Markotenko (170-89) did not help to save the game for Widzew. American forward Cecilia Okoye (185, college: McNeese St.) added 9 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Widzew's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
