Very predictable result in Reykjavik where fourth ranked Njardvik (8-6) defeated 11th ranked IR (2-12) 91-85. The guests were already 15 points ahead at halftime and as many as 20 after three quarters before a 31-17 last quarter charge of IR cut the lead to 91-85 at the end of the game. They outrebounded IR 47-32 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Njardvik players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American point guard Stefan Bonneau (177-87, college: LIU Post) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Mirko Virijevic (201-81, college: Freed-Hardeman) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners.
