No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Sundsvall Dragons (15-7) defeated on the road 9th ranked Umea (6-16) 85-69. The game without a history. Sundsvall Dragons led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The game was dominated by American players. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Akeem Wright (200-84, college: Kansas St.) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Shane Edwards (201-87, college: UALR) accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Wright is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. point guard Omar Krayem (185-86, college: Cal.Baptist) came up with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and power forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard, agency: Court Side) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Umea in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sundsvall Dragons have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Umea lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 16 games lost. Sundsvall Dragons' next round opponent will be Nassjo (#8) at home. Umea will play against Boras Basket and hope to win that game.
