Regular Season Round 18: Legnano - Ravenna 72-69
Date: January 22, 2015
The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Ravenna (12-6) in Castellanza on Thursday night. Visitors were edged by tenth ranked Legnano (9-9) 72-69. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 21-12. But Ravenna won third quarter 23-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American-Gambian forward Ousman Krubally (201-88, college: Georgia St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds. Swingman Matteo Frassineti (195-87) contributed with 17 points for the winners. American forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) replied with 22 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Emmanuel Holloway (185-86, college: Illinois St., agency: Blacktop Management) added 17 points in the effort for Ravenna. Legnano moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Chieti and Omegna. Ravenna at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. They share it with Treviso Basket. Legnano is looking forward to face league's second-placed Treviso Basket on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Ravenna will play against Matera and is hoping to win this game.
