Regular Season Round 27: Jamtland - Sodertalje 64-86

Leader Sodertalje Kings delivered the sixteenth victory. This time they crushed 11th ranked KFUM Jamtland (3-18) 86-64. It looked good early as KFUM Jamtland took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Sodertalje Kings had a 32-20 second period charge getting the lead and KFUM Jamtland was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 64-86. It was a good game for Danish guard Darko Jukic (198-90, agency: Two Points) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 4 assists. International center Carl Engstrom (216-91, college: Alabama) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five Sodertalje Kings players scored in double figures. American center Trevor Gruis (208-91, college: S.Dakota) answered with 13 points and 7 rebounds and center Mattias Markusson (213-96) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for KFUM Jamtland. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains first place with 16-5 record. KFUM Jamtland lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Sodertalje Kings will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. KFUM Jamtland will play on the road against Uppsala Basket (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
