Regular Season Round 34: Jiangsu TX - Zhejiang CB 128-110

There was a minor upset when 15th ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (10-24) was defeated on the road by seventeenth ranked Jiangsu TX (9-25) 128-110 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Jiangsu TX. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank was better in fourth quarter 32-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jiangsu TX forced 22 Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Brandon Costner (206-87, college: N.Carolina St.) fired 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Center Will McDonald (211-79, college: S.Florida) chipped in 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. Four Jiangsu TX players scored in double figures. point guard Errick McCollum (185-88, college: Goshen) produced a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Charles Gaines (201-81, college: S.Mississippi) added 19 points and 16 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Jiangsu TX moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Fujian QB. Loser Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank keeps the fifteenth position with 24 games lost. Jiangsu TX will face higher ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#5) in Hangzhou in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
