There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Spirou Charleroi (9-7) defeated on the road 4th placed Limburg United (9-7) 84-68 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Spirou Charleroi. Limburg United managed to win third quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Spirou Charleroi dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Limburg United's 30. The best player for the winners was American forward Josh Bostic (196-87, college: Findlay, OH) who scored 19 points. Nigerian center Leigh Enobakhare (206-86, agency: Court Side) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Spirou Charleroi players scored in double figures. American Devin Oliver (201-92, college: Dayton) produced 21 points and 5 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) and the other American import Barry Stewart (190-88, college: Mississippi St.) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Spirou Charleroi moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Mons-Hainaut and Limburg United. Spirou Charleroi will meet league's second-placed Antwerp Giants on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Limburg United will play against Leuven Bears and hope to secure a win.
