Regular Season Round 34: Sichuan BW - Fujian QB 105-101

We should mention about the upset which took place in Sichuan, where 16th ranked Fujian (9-25) lost to nineteenth ranked Sichuan BW (6-28) in a road game 101-105. The hosts were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 31-21 Fujian's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 105-101 at the end of the game. Sichuan BW players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (193-84, college: CS Northridge) notched a triple-double by scoring 43 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the effort and center Tao Xu (211-93, college: USF) supported him with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Even 41 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists by American point guard John Lucas III (180-82, college: Oklahoma St.) did not help to save the game for Fujian. International Zhelin Wang (215-94) added 16 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Four Sichuan BW and five Fujian players scored in double figures. Sichuan BW moved-up to eighteenth place, which they share with Bayi R. Fujian at the other side keeps the sixteenth position with 25 games lost. Sichuan BW's next round opponent will be higher ranked Foshan (#10) at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
