Regular Season Round 27: Norrkoping - Uppsala 92-78

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Uppsala Basket (14-8) was defeated on the road by third ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (16-6) 92-78. The game was mostly controlled by Norrkoping Dolphins. Uppsala Basket was better in second period 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Norrkoping Dolphins players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. 24 personal fouls committed by Uppsala Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Dominique Morrison (198-89, college: ORU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Croatian guard Toni Prostran (181-91) accounted for 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Swingman Axel Nordstrom (193-91) came up with 13 points and 9 rebounds and international forward Anton Gaddefors (200-89) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Uppsala Basket in the defeat. Uppsala Basket's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Norrkoping Dolphins have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Uppsala Basket at the other side dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. Norrkoping Dolphins' next round opponent will be Eco Orebro (#10) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Uppsala Basket will play against KFUM Jamtland (#11) and hope to win that game.
