Regular Season Round 19: Clinicas Rincon - Valladolid 45-85

Very predictable result in Malaga where sixth ranked Blancos de Rueda (10-6) smashed bottom-ranked Clinicas Rincon (4-14) 85-45 on Friday. The game without a history. Blancos de Rueda led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Clinicas Rincon's 24 and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Blancos de Rueda forced 20 Clinicas Rincon turnovers and outrebounded them 37-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for point guard Mikel Uriz (182-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Sergio De La Fuente (198-89) helped adding 14 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Four Blancos de Rueda players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international power forward Ricardo Guillen (207-76, agency: Duran International) responded with 12 points and point guard Carlos Corts (182-97) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Blancos de Rueda went down to seventh position due to points difference. Clinicas Rincon lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. Blancos de Rueda will face Lobe Huesca (#13) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Clinicas Rincon will play against the league's second-placed Leche Rio Breogan having rather not much hope for a victory.
