Regular Season Round 17: AZS Koszalin - Wilki Morskie 98-73

Very predictable result when fourth ranked AZS Koszalin (13-4) smashed at home bottom-ranked Wilki Morskie (4-13) 98-73 on Saturday. The game without a history. AZS Koszalin led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Qyntel Woods (202-81, college: N.Mississippi JC) stepped up and scored 21 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and the former international power forward Szymon Szewczyk (209-82) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Four AZS Koszalin players scored in double figures. Coach Igor Milicic's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American point guard Trevor Releford (183-91, college: Alabama) responded with 21 points and naturalized Ukrainian Vitaliy Kovalenko (203-84) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. AZS Koszalin moved-up to third place, which they share with Slask Wroclaw. Wilki Morskie lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with 13 games lost. AZS Koszalin will face Trefl (#8) in Sopot in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Wilki Morskie will play at home against Asseco (#6) and hope to win that game.
