Regular Season Round 19: Miedzychod - Suchy Las 59-74

Rather predictable result when third ranked Suchy Las (11-6) beat on the road 6th ranked Miedzychod (7-10) 74-59 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Suchy Las. Miedzychod was better in third quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Mateusz Brek (192-94) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Piotr Wieloch (182-94) chipped in 20 points. Swingman Filip Dylik (190-90) produced 14 points and 4 assists and point guard Daniel Cejba (182-90) added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Suchy Las maintains third place in Group D with 11-6 record having four points less than leader Nysa Klodzko. Newly promoted Miedzychod keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Suchy Las will face Kalisz (#5) at home in the next round. Miedzychod will play against Polonia Leszno and hope to win that game.
