The game in Vimpeli supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Peli-Karhut (13-5) played at the court of 7th ranked ViVe (6-12). Peli-Karhut smashed ViVe 99-67. The game without a history. Peli-Karhut led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Peli-Karhut forced 25 ViVe turnovers. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for swingman Jasmine Gill (185-90, college: JMU) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Natasha Thames (183-91, college: Temple) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Peli-Karhut players scored in double figures. Swingman Korinne Campbell (182-88, college: W.Virginia, agency: Two Points) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and forward Breanna Salley (180-87, college: Seattle) added 15 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for ViVe. ViVe's coach Jukka-Pekka Kujala already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Peli-Karhut maintains second position with 13-5 record having four points less than leader Catz, which they share with Huima. Newly promoted ViVe keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Honka. Peli-Karhut will play against league's leader Catz Lappeenranta on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. ViVe will play against Torpan Pojat (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
