Sixteenth-ranked Piacentina (5-14) gave a tough game to seventh ranked Naturhouse Ferrara (11-8) in Piacenza on Saturday. The visitors from Ferrara managed to secure only two-point victory 85-83. However their fans expected much easier game. Piacentina trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 28-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 83-85 at the end of the game. Naturhouse Ferrara made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. American guard Kenny Hasbrouck (191-86, college: Siena) fired 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. His fellow American import guard Troy Huff (196-92, college: N.Dakota) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized Slovenian guard Sani Becirovic (195-81) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and Croatian center Andrija Zizic (207-80, agency: Beo Basket) added 20 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Naturhouse Ferrara moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Recanati and Reggio Calabr. Piacentina lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Naturhouse Ferrara will meet at home Omegna (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Piacentina will play against Roseto (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
