Regular Season Round 34: Titanicos - Panteras 95-75

Rather expected game when 11th ranked Panteras (11-20) were smashed by ninth ranked Titanicos (15-18) in Leon 95-75 on Saturday. The game without a history. Titanicos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Titanicos outrebounded Panteras 45-20 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Isaiah Wilkerson (190-90, college: NJIT) notched 33 points (!!!) and 8 assists to lead the effort and Senegalese center Babacar Camara (211-81, college: CS Fullerton) supported him with 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Titanicos players scored in double figures. Even 27 points and 5 rebounds by the former international swingman Jorge Alfredo Casillas (196-90) did not help to save the game for Panteras. American forward Ronald Selleaze (197-76, college: CSU Bakersfield) added 15 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Newly promoted Titanicos maintains ninth position with 15-18 record. Panteras lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 20 games lost. Titanicos will meet higher ranked Halcones UV Xalapa (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Panteras will play against Fuerza Regia (#8) and hope to secure a win.
