There was a small surprise in Warszawa where eighth ranked MKS Skierniew. (5-10) beat 6th ranked Polonia W-wa (7-9) 76-64 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-64. MKS Skierniew. forced 22 Polonia W-wa turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Point guard Rafal Holnicki-Szulc (188-89) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. Swingman Mariusz Lapinski (195-82) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. point guard Adrian Kordalski (185-95) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Konrad Karpinski added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Polonia W-wa players scored in double figures. Polonia W-wa's coach Andrzej Kierlewicz tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. MKS Skierniew. moved-up to seventh place in Group B. Loser Polonia W-wa keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. MKS Skierniew. will face higher ranked Wisla Krakow (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
