The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked Niigata R.'s (4-13) home victory over 10th ranked Hitachi Cougars (2-15) in Tokyo 66-51 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Niigata R.. Hitachi Cougars managed to win fourth quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Niigata R. had a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. Niigata R. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Aishin AW. Hitachi Cougars lost eighth consecutive game.
