Very expected game when 8th ranked Aishin Wings (4-13) lost to second ranked Toyota A. (14-3) in Nagoya 51-65 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Toyota A.. Aishin Wings managed to win third quarter 13-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Toyota A. forced 20 Aishin Wings turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Toyota A. made 7 blocks. International point guard Emi Kudeken (165-84) notched 6 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and swingman Kaede Kondo (173-91) supported her with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Even 14 points and 9 rebounds by power forward Shiyu Sato (178-87) did not help to save the game for Aishin Wings. The former international swingman Tanaka Masaki (171-88) added 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Toyota A. have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 14-3 record behind leader Fujitsu RW. Loser Aishin Wings keep the eighth place with 13 games lost.
