Fifth-ranked Civitanova (7-9) gave a tough game to second ranked San Pietro (14-2) in Civitanova Marche. The visitors from San Pietro managed to secure only three-point victory 78-75. However their fans expected easier game. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. San Pietro dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Civitanova's 34. San Pietro forced 20 Civitanova turnovers. The former international forward Simona Ballardini (183-81) notched 22 points to lead the effort and point guard Mariella Santucci (178-97) supported her with 19 points and 4 steals.
