A very interesting game took place in Marratxi. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 14th ranked Opentach Pla (3-14) to thirteenth ranked FC Barcelona II (6-11) 61-59 on Sunday evening. Opentach Pla was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 22-18 charge of FC Barcelona II, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Opentach Pla 39-27 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was Bosnian-Finnish power forward Emir Sulejmanovic (204-95) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized Bosnian Nedim Djedovic (200-97) chipped in 12 points. FC Barcelona II's coach Aleix Duran allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Ridge McKeither (198-88, college: Angelo St.) who recorded 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Alberto Ausina (203-81) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. FC Barcelona II have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to twelfth place. Newly promoted Opentach Pla keeps the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. FC Barcelona II's next round opponent will be CB Tarragona 2017 (#13) at home. Opentach Pla will play against Azpeitia and hope to win that game.
