Regular Season Round 19: Treviso Basket - Legnano 69-51
Date: January 25, 2015
Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Legnano (9-10) was defeated on the road by second ranked Treviso Basket (13-6) 69-51 on Sunday. The game without a history. Treviso Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for American forward Marshawn Powell (201-90, college: Arkansas) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Mauro Pinton (185-84, agency: Two Points) helped adding 14 points. Four Treviso Basket players scored in double figures. Treviso Basket's coach Stefano Pillastrini used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side swingman Matteo Frassineti (195-87) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and American-Gambian forward Ousman Krubally (201-88, college: Georgia St.) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Treviso Basket keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Ravenna. Legnano at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the ninth place with ten games lost. Treviso Basket will face Chieti (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Legnano will play against Latina Basket and hope to win that game.
