The game in Kumamoto was also quite interesting. Third ranked Dragonflies (14-10) played at the court of 5th ranked Kumamoto V. (3-21). Dragonflies defeated Kumamoto V. 77-67 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Dragonflies. Kumamoto V. was better in third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Kumamoto V. 42-23 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. International power forward Kosuke Takeuchi (206-85) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Omar Reed (200-87, college: Bluefield) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Dragonflies players scored in double figures. American swingman Garlon Green (201-91, college: TCU) produced 20 points and forward Tenyoku Yo (194-88) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the third consecutive win for Dragonflies. Newly promoted Dragonflies maintains third place with 14-10 record having six points less than leader Wakayama T. Kumamoto V. lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 21 games lost. Dragonflies will face Tochigi Brex (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Kumamoto V. will play against the league's second-placed Mitsubishi Dolphins in Nagoya and hope to win that game.
